We hired Wilbur for a week over Xmas 2021. Everything was ready on pick up and all was clearly explained. Clear 'how to' videos were also issued in advance. Our host Shelley was very friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble, she even stocked the fridge in advance with the basic essentials and a nice bottle.
The camper van is immaculate and is fitted out to a very high standard with plenty of equipment on board. The double bed assembles in 5 secs flat, the front seats swivel with relative ease, the roof and upper deck/bed are all easy and quick to manoeuvre. The heating and lighting are most effective, the mains hook up keeps batteries charging and distributes 230V to sockets. Solar panel too. All very well laid out.
Drives lovely and was perfect for our week away. Hire rates seem very reasonable, it costs about £100 for a full tank of diesel. Highly recommend hiring a VW campervan through

We had the pleasure of borrowing Wilbur from CV camper hire recently, and the whole experience was a delight. Shelley was great at helping us from the first enquiry through to the extensive demonstration of the camper when we collected it. The van drove beautifully, and kept the four of us warm (in November) and relaxed for a weekend break without having to use a camping site. We had a wonderful stay in Wilbur. Wilbur is easy to drive and really well equipped campervan. The solar panel meant the leisure battery was topped up so we did a bit of 'wild camping'. Booking/collecting to dropping off was easy we had a detailed show around before we set off. We will be back.
